Creating Subtasks
Section titled “Creating Subtasks”Use the colon-comma syntax to create a parent with subtasks in one line:
Parent Task: subtask one, subtask two, subtask threeThis creates the parent task and all listed subtasks nested beneath it.
Where Tasks Go
Section titled “Where Tasks Go”Tasks created through Quick Capture are added at the current level you’re viewing in Plan, or to the Inbox if no specific parent context is active.
- Use Quick Capture for brain dumps — get everything out of your head quickly, then organize later
- The subtask syntax is great for breaking down a project into steps in one shot
- You can always edit tasks after capture to add due dates, importance, and other details
