Plan
The Plan view is your home base in Clarity.Do. It displays all your tasks in a hierarchical tree structure, letting you organize work at any depth.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”Tasks in Plan are displayed as a tree. Top-level tasks appear at the root, and each task can contain subtasks beneath it. You can expand or collapse any task to show or hide its children.
Navigating the Tree
Section titled “Navigating the Tree”Tap the chevron next to any task with subtasks to expand or collapse it. You can also tap a task’s subtask area to drill into that branch, making it the new root of your view.
Breadcrumbs appear at the top when you’ve drilled into a subtask branch, showing the path from the root to your current level. Tap any breadcrumb to jump back to that level.
Adding Tasks
Section titled “Adding Tasks”- Tap the plus button to create a new task at the current level
- Use the Add Task button that appears below a parent task to create a subtask directly within that group
- Long-press the plus button on iOS to open Quick Capture for adding multiple tasks at once
Swipe Actions (iOS)
Section titled “Swipe Actions (iOS)”Swipe a task row to access quick actions:
- Swipe left to expand/collapse or complete/reschedule the task
- Swipe right to navigate into the task’s subtasks
Reordering
Section titled “Reordering”Tasks within the same parent can be reordered by dragging. The sort order is synced across all your devices.
New tasks created without a specific parent are placed in your Inbox by default. The Inbox acts as a catch-all for tasks you haven’t yet organized into your hierarchy.
