The Upcoming view organizes your tasks by when they’re due, giving you a clear picture of what’s coming up.
Date Sections
Section titled “Date Sections”Tasks are grouped into the following time-based sections:
- Overdue — past the due date
- By Today — due today
- By Tomorrow — due tomorrow
- Within 3 Days — due in the next 3 days
- By This Week — due by end of this week
- By Next Week — due by end of next week
- By This Month — due by end of this month
- By Next Month — due by end of next month
- Later — everything further out
Each section shows a count of the tasks it contains. Sections with no tasks are hidden.
Collapsible Sections
Section titled “Collapsible Sections”Tap any section header to collapse or expand it. This is useful when you want to focus on just today’s tasks or hide sections you’ve already reviewed.
Task Grouping
Section titled “Task Grouping”Within each date section, tasks are grouped by their parent task and displayed with breadcrumb paths showing their hierarchy. You can expand groups to see subtasks.
Hide and Show Others
Section titled “Hide and Show Others”Use the Hide Others button to collapse all sections except the one you’re focused on. Show Others brings them all back.
Creating Tasks
Section titled “Creating Tasks”When you create a task from within a specific date section, the due date is automatically set to match that section. For example, creating a task from “By Tomorrow” sets the due date to tomorrow.
First Day of Week
Section titled “First Day of Week”The “By This Week” and “By Next Week” sections respect your First Day of Week setting (Sunday or Monday), which you can change in Settings under Regional.
